Please consider a small (or large, that’s cool too) donation to the program of your choice — drama or band. They need help for new equipment and general operating funds. Arts funding from the county is anemic at best. Many of the activities that are fundamental to the programs (like band camp or putting on theatrical productions) are not supported financially by the county at all.
If you do donate, make sure to mention you’re from our era. We opened the school and attending Leesville profoundly influenced our lives. But we also profoundly influenced Leesville. Many of the traditions we started (think the … unique … way of singing Happy Birthday to someone) endure today.
